Position Details As an iOS Application Development Engineer, you will be responsible for a whole workflow in development projects in healthcare domain. System design for new features and enhancement on exiting featues, based on functional and non-functional requirements Implementation including unit test and contiuous technical implovement Monitoring after delivery Investigation on reported defects Trouble shooting Feasibility study and estimation Planning for future technical improvement – refactoring and introduction of new tools etc. Since we just launched our healthcare service, it’s start-up phase still and you will be able to demonstrate your competencies beyond an engineer role. In Rakuten group, engineers and product managers belong to same organisation and work closely so that we can improve our service very in effective and efficient manner. Job Description: Department Overview Our department is for the system development of healthcare business which is newly launched within Rakuten Group. We plan to provide various functions in stages to tackle the challenges of healthcare services that have not undergone digital transformation in Japan. In addition, we will develop services while strengthening business collaboration related to healthcare with the services owned by the Rakuten Group (Rakuten Ichiba, Rakuten Insurance, regional revitalization, etc.). Specifically, you will oversee iOS App for users and clients and will be in charge of system design and implementation for new features and maintenance after delivery. We are finding ambitious engineers who are not limit yourself to engineer role and work with the business department to move the project forward. |

Mandatory Qualifications: Over 5 year experience of iOS native application development using Swift Over 5 year professional software development experience in mobile App domain Experience on apps communicating with backend servers Experience on unit test implementation Familiar with modern architecture, best practice and security in mobile App domain Strong problem-solving skills to solve complex and uncertain situations Motivation to drive things by yourself Team work experience and communication skills Desired Qualifications: Experience of iOS native application development in healthcare domain Experience on apps which communicate with Apple Watch and/or healthcare devices Over 5 year experience of iOS native application development Experience on Android native app development Experience on complicated UI implantation Experience on apps having large user base Experience on CI/CD Experience on leadership or mentoring junior |
