What is JMEC?
JMEC JMEC is a business training program designed especially for foreign executives in Japan. An 8-month program, JMEC combines lectures by business professionals with an extended team project where participants write a business plan for a real client. Because of all this valuable hands-on training, JMEC is also known as The Mini-MBA. Past client participants include multinationals, entrepreneurs, universities and NPOs. Executive participants represent over 15 nationalities, providing the chance to work in a dynamic, multinational team for top-end business clients. For more information, visit the JMEC homepage.
Business
Business With lectures given by experienced executives, participants study market research, accounting, finance, distribution, project management, advertising and public relations, group dynamics, entrepreneurship, presentation skills, and business plan development. The course is held over six Saturdays, starting in November.

Once the lecture series is completed, participants are placed on teams of 5-6 where they develop a business plan for a project client. Before starting the plan, each team will meet face-to-face with their project client to hear about the client’s endeavors in the Japanese market.

Throughout the program, participants are developing practical business skills that can be taken into their current workplaces or their future careers. Of our past participants, some even went on to be hired by their project clients.
