| Job Description | An opening for a skilled and specialised package software professional in a well respected international investment bank The Wintel Global Application Packager will be part of a team responsible for developing application deployment packages for Windows platforms. The engineer will ensure that packages are in compliance with client standards and satisfy all requirements (e.g. Information Security, Business). Specifically, services provided by Wintel Global Application Packaging pertain to technology disciplines encompassing: 1. Windows Installer: All packages are done in the Windows Installer (MSI) format, using the Macrovision AdminStudio toolset. 2. Windows OS Platform Technologies: Includes Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server OSes, and thin client solutions. 3. Software Deployment Systems: Technologies used for software deployment on Windows client and server OSes, as well as thin clients. This includes HP OpenView Configuration Management, Tivoli Provisioning Manager and Citrix respectively. 4. VBScript is used to add customized functionality to packages. Windows command line is also heavily used. |

| Qualifications | Required Skill and Abilities: Windows Installer: All packages are done in the Windows Installer (MSI) format, using the Macrovision AdminStudio toolset. Necessary knowledge/skill; MS Installer VBScript Windows Vista (knowledge on it’s workings and differences with previous OS) core of Windows technology Language and Visa requirements: Only applicants with at least Business level English, and Fluent Japanese (both written and spoken) will be considered. In addition, only those applicants already holding a valid visa allowing them normal full time employment in Japan will be considered. |
