| Job Description | Job Summary: The Restek Japan Representative accelerates revenue generation and supports Restek’s sales activities in Japan, specifically focusing on technical sales support, training, seminars, and participation in relevant trade shows. This position consults with relevant groups at Restek Headquarters regarding product recommendations, marketing campaigns, and applications development. This position works with Product Development on product performance, competitor benchmarking, and recommendations for new consumable products. This position coordinates with Marketing to execute promotions and product launches. Job Duties: 1. Assist in the development of strategic plans, objectives, projections, and budget for Japan in conjunction with Marketing. 2. Increase sales and market share in the assigned territory through direct customer visits and calls, beta tests and product evaluations, attendance at trade shows, and sales tool development. 3. Gather competitor activity data, provide feedback on performance of Restek products in the market, provide feedback on pricing strategies for the global market, and recommend new products for the product portfolio in the assigned area. 4. Develop and oversee strategic planning for the assigned area. 5. Facilitate interaction with other departments to develop new product ideas and applications. 6. Communicate the vision of Restek’s corporate philosophy to all direct reports and use every opportunity available to convey a vision of cooperation, innovation, and excellence. 7. Represent Restek at trade shows, conferences, and seminars, and provide technical service to our customers and distributors. Solicit and utilize input to enhance customer service and products. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. |

| Qualifications | Qualifications: Education/Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field. · MS, MBA, or PhD preferred · Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in; marketing, sales, and/or business development Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: · Strong business development, corporate strategy and marketing acumen · Strategic thinker with proven record of achieving successful results · Strong working knowledge of financial statements · Excellent organizational and management skills · Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to make presentations · Competent computer skills, including e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing and database applications |
