| Job Description | We are currently looking for experienced Unix Engineer! A successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of UNIX infrastructure and work to improve the overall quality of support by proactive monitoring, consolidation and increasing ‘reliability and stability and availability’ of the underlying infrastructure. Project management Your role is; - Provide suitable Unix systems’ administration support. - Provide a stable, efficient and secure environment (hardware and operating system) for all workstations and servers within the Unix Services Group’s remit. - Interface with the Global Infrastructure Engineering group to provide feedback for new products and technologies. - Anticipate problems and recommend appropriate solutions. - Provide support in the deployment of new and upgraded applications on the Unix platform. - Provide day-to-day Unix technical support for Unix environments. - Provide trouble-shooting and Root Cause analysis of Unix related issues. - Develop and publish operational documentation. - Provide Unix-related technical assistance to other IT departments. - Escalate issues to Unix Services Group management. - Test and implement Unix-related upgrades. - Provide systems performance monitoring and tuning skills when required. - Enhance the automation and productivity of the Unix environments supported. - Interface with third party vendors to resolve Unix-related issues. -Support the deployment of new and upgraded applications providing feedback to the relevant application support teams. |

| Qualifications | REQUIREMENTS: Must have; ・Minumum 3 years on Sun Solaris, AIX or HP-UX systems and related HW ・Solid knowledge, experience working with of Solaris versions up to and including OS 10 experience and Linux Red Hat Enterprise Server ・Experience leading teams in a medium to large size IT environment, coordinating, documenting procedures, work experience at a financial institutions required ・Experience in EMC Storage, Solstice Disk suite, Veritas Net Backup is preferrd ・ Perl, Unix Shell [ksh, sh] ・ C, C++, and Python a plus |
