| Job Description | Main Responsibilities: • Work as an Electronic design engineer in the engineering department, reporting to the engineering manager for controls engineering. • Design new electronic motion control devices, such as servo motor drive & controllers for various industrial motion control applications, such as motion base for simulator and test devices, plastics, metal forming and press machines. • Support all project engineering activity, including design, supplier selection and evaluation, prototype testing and debugging, and installation and commissioning at customer site. • Develop detailed product and customer documentation, electrical drawings, design notes, reports and technical data to support application/system engineering and product sales. • Modify and improve existing electronics products, supporting production and QA as required to reduce quality problems and improve product performance and reliability. • Work effectively with other members of the engineering group and with regional and international engineering resources on major projects, improving knowledge transfer and local execution capability. |

| Qualifications | Education: Electronic or Electrical (control) Engineering Degree qualification Work Experience: • At least 5 years experience of electronics circuit design, including experience of power electronics design, IPM, IGBT, inverter/converter, on-board power transistors. • Digital control circuit design, embedded software on CPU or programmable array (FPGA, PLD, micro computer chipset), on board ASIC applications. • Servo drive, inverter drives, motion controller development experience is preferred. • Strong embedded software development capability, C programming, assembler for embedded CPU, VHDL for FPGA (Xilinx, Altera, etc), and related debugger, emulator knowledge. • Interface card design with DP-RAM and other means for system bus access. • Detailed knowledge of digital field-busses and communication protocols (EtherCAT, CANOpen, SSCnet, Mechatrolink, Ethernet Deterministic, Profinet, DeviceNet etc). • General servo control logic programming in Matlab/Simulink for motion control loop modeling. • PC based controller with RTOS and MSC++ interface programming. Other skills experience: • Computer literacy, EL CAD capabilities, and good understanding of controls theory • Good communication and documentation skills.
