| Job Description | Branch Customer Manager / Director Position / Hierarchical and functional For each strategic customer (Car and/or HD Truck Manufacturer), the Branch designates a Branch Customer Director / Manager. He/she will normally already have commercial responsibility within a Division or a Tech Center/Tech Sales Center and reports normally to the Managing Director of the Division or the Branch Sales & Business Development Director. As Branch Customer Director / Manager, he/she has a close functional relationship with the Branch Sales & Business Development Director as well as the Group Customer Director. Mission · The Branch representative for the Customer worldwide, the preferred interface for the Branch and the customer for strategic issues. · Listens to and analyzes the requirements of the customer : defines the sales strategy to be implemented in order to ensure profitable development of Branch sales in all the geographical zones where his/her customer is present. · Promotes technical and economic competitive advantage, in terms of components, modules and systems especially at Technology Presentations and Branch Presentations in cooperation with the Branch Product Marketing Director. · Improves the margins of the Branch’s business with the customer and ensure the customer’s recognition of the value of the Branch’s activities. · Supports the marketing process by ensuring internal feedback of information received during contact with the customer (strategy, organization, international development, production sites, production forecasts, planned launches of new vehicles, etc…) in cooperation with the Branch Product Marketing Director. · Participates in key Project team meetings in order to explain and defend the customer’s view on technology quality, timing, cost, logistics, etc, in order to satisfy customer requirements. · Analyze the positions of competitors and integrates this analysis into the sales and marketing strategy and action plan in cooperation with the Branch Product Marketing Director. Responsibilities · Responsible for the preparation of the sales budget for the customer (Division and Branch level) in his charge in all geographical zones. In cooperation with the regional BCM/key accounts he/she ensures also the coherence of the global budget for the Branch in respect of the customer worldwide. · Responsible for the preparation of the sales business plan for the customer worldwide (Mid Term 5 Year Plan). · Prepares the documents required for customer visits by the Group’s Directors under the responsibility of the Branch Sales Director. · In close cooperation with the Division General Manager and Branch Sales & Business Development Director, determines the sales price objectives, exploiting his sound knowledge of the market and competitors’ positions. · In close cooperation with the Branch Product Marketing Director, defines the strategic projects to be obtained in order to ensure an increase in Branch sales and market share and profit. · Takes all the possible steps to ensure that the Branch submits technically and economically competitive quotes for global projects, within the time limits. · Responsible for the coordination of sales negotiations with the customer, especially for worldwide platforms and for the strict application of this company's Group Sales Conditions agreements with the customer. · Organizes and leads the Branch sales network of Regional BCM/Key accounts involved with the customer. · Ensure that the Group Customer Director is informed of the activities of his Branch with the customer. · Advises the Branch management on the strategy of the customer. |
