| Job Description | SafeNet, the world’s leading information security provider, is seeking a Sales Engineer, Rights Management to join our Japan team. Reporting to the Embedded Sales Manager, Japan, you will be supporting the sales team in Japan. The main responsibility of this role is to provide pre-sales support related to all Rights Management products (Sentinel branded products) primarily in Japan, but at times for the rest of APAC as well, with details as follows: - Pre-sales technical support for all Rights Management hardware and software products, with heavy emphasis on software developers and software based solutions; - Support regional sales managers on technical issues with products; - Assist sales to identify and qualify all opportunities for assigned strategic accounts and general inquiries. The ability to develop and maintain customer relationships; - Create and deliver accurate and technically correct sales presentations to potential customers; - Work with sales staff to further customer relationships; - Ability to creatively apply technical workarounds to sales blockers; - Ability to drive development of sample code, sample implementations and identification of integration workflow for software products. |

| Qualifications | - A Bachelor degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or related field. An equivalent combination of education & experience is acceptable; - At least 5 years’ experience supporting OEM or ISV customers preferred; - At least 2 years’ experience in supporting software development teams; - Experience as an Applications / Systems Engineer / FAE preferred; - Experience with proprietary operating systems desired; - Experience with several programming languages highly desired (C++, Visual Basic, Borland, etc); - Experience and familiarity with software licensing models and their relative impact on various technologies within target environments highly preferred; - Strong understanding of use, market, and implementation of software development products and tools; - Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills; - Good spoken and written English; - Excellent in technical proposal preparation and presentation; - Must be able to provide a proven and successful track record of supporting technical products; - A good team player; - Willing to travel overseas; - Ability to work in a low-structured, high-paced and independent environment; - Language experience with C/C++ and VB. |
