| Job Description | Domains/vertical background Experience of having sold IT Application Development & Maintenance, Infrastructure Management and IT outsourcing / off-shoring services in any one or more of the following domains is an asset: financial services, insurance, telecoms, travel & logistics, manufacturing, ISV's, product engineering / hi-tech Key Characteristics of Position: Should have anywhere from 8-15 years of experience.Uses multiple prospecting methods to generate leads, set up sales meetings and pitch appropriate solution-offerings to customers and prospects. Anchors proposal preparation activity, and works closely with presales and delivery managers in identifying appropriate solution for the customer. Will gain superior knowledge of target market segment and business trends therein. Will require exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and policies. Regularly interacts with senior managers. Works with minimum supervision. Will be expected to carry multi million dollar annual revenue target on sale of services, and be tracked for pipeline development and business closure on a monthly and quarterly basis. Essential Characteristics of Candidate: Achievement oriented, go-getter attitude, social personality, target driven, high self confidence Direct and to the point communication focused on results both within Patni and with customers - no nonsense, get the job done attitude Key Accountability Areas # KRA Description 1 Sales strategy: - Study market needs and identify opportunities - Build strategy to acquire manufacturing clients - Develop leads - Build knowledge of domain - Determine client business requirement and fit with Patni offerings -Develop business cases based on analyses of client requirements 2 Sales Operations: - Work as an individual contributor and meet revenue targets. - Pursue multiple prospecting techniques including cold calling, referrals, email campaigns etc. to connect with decision makers at client sites - Identify, research and evaluate new business opportunities, establish contacts with clients to understand their business needs - Articulate the Organisational value proposition to prospects and clients. - Negotiate commercial and legal aspects of the contracts 3 Client Management: - Become a trusted advisor to client and help make the client programs successful - Develop and maintain an ongoing relationship with customers to facilitate future selling opportunities. - Manage client expectations on timelines, solutions, pricing etc. - Work with delivery organization to ensure meeting of all deliverables. 4 Coordination & Liaison: - Work with cross-functional teams for proposal preparation and presentation, contract negotiation and ongoing running of account - Coordinate with clients for on-time realization of AR - Coordinate with various delivery teams in delivery from time to troubleshoot problems |
