| Making yourself a global product
Many people think that only visible and tangible products such as cars, game machines, and/or candies are the marketable products. But actually there are many “products” that are invisible or intangible, such as services.
For a long time, I have thought that “I am a product” and have tried to enhance my product value and quality. Since I left Sony Corporation, I worked for many foreign companies as a senior executive such as American Express, International Data Group, AOL, and Intuit before assuming the position of CEO at livedoor in 2006. Leaving Sony meant leaving the Japanese community for me. Since that time, I have tried to train myself as a global executive, or “a global product.” At my presentation, I will talk about how I came up with this idea, how I trained myself, what are my successes, and what are the mistakes I made. At the same time, I would like to share with the audience my dreams and my future goals. I am 62 years old. I am still a kozo (kid). So are you. We all have a great future to look forward to. |
