FAQ
Just what is the Career Fair?
The Career Fair is a forum for employers and job seekers to meet face-to-face. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with and learn about a number of companies in one place in one day.

Are participating companies interviewing and screening potential candidates at the Fair?
The Fair is not a venue for formal interviews and screening. One should keep in mind though that impressions left from meeting with companies at the Fair could have an effect on any subsequent selection process.

Do I have to pay an entrance fee to attend?
No. Attendance is free of charge.

Are there age requirements for those attending?
Job seekers may attend regardless of age. However, individual companies may have age requirements for certain positions.

What should I prepare to bring to the Career Fair?
You will be asked to submit an entry sheet when you arrive, so please complete the entry sheet online prior to the Fair and bring a copy to give to the reception staff. This entry sheet will also be used as your Fair 'resume' to give to companies with whom you meet, so there is no need to prepare and bring a formal resume. Since you will be giving the entry sheet to companies, be sure to print out and bring multiple copies. *We recommend you print out about 10 copies.

Can I attend even though I am not fluent in English?
Job seekers may attend regardless of language ability. Individual companies will have different language requirements for their openings.

Can I attend even though I’m not Japanese?
Yes. The Fair is open to job seekers of all nationalities.

Are new graduates allowed to attend?
The Fair is open to all job seekers regardless of experience. Some companies may also be looking for new graduates as part of their hiring strategy.

Should I dress in business attire on the day of the Fair?
Although there is no specific dress code for the Fair, business attire is always recommended when meeting with potential employers.

What kinds of companies will be attending the Career Fair?
The companies to be in attendance are from a wide array of industries, and most are either foreign affiliated companies or internationally focused domestic companies.

What if a company is not advertising any open positions for which I am suitable?
If you are interested in the company, you may want to ask the company's representative about opportunities which may not have been publicly announced.
