Japan and China - Moving On
It probably comes as no surprise to hear that the results of a large
survey conducted earlier this year indicate that in the Asia-Pacific
region, China has become the most popular place for working people to
move to. The huge online survey received responses from more than
30,000 people currently employed in 27 different countries. Conducted
by Manpower Inc, the survey also revealed that the three top positions
currently held by overseas workers are senior executive, manager and
engineer. It goes without saying that those possessing experience and
multilingual skills are the most sought-after.

Terrie's Job Tips:
What if Your Company Goes Bankrupt?
The last four weeks have created unimaginable fall-out in the financial
markets, with the USA going from five major investment banking firms in
March 2008 to none in September. Of these, Lehman Brothers was allowed
to go bankrupt, Bear Sterns was sold off to J.P. Morgan Chase, and
Merrill Lynch was sold to the Bank of America. Morgan Stanley and
Goldman Sachs substantially shored up their capital with outside
investors as well as converting into fully regulated banks.
