The biggest question most candidates have about a new job, after
finding out what they’ll actually be doing, is what their salary and
the associated terms and conditions will be. This is nothing we don’t
already know, but what most people do have trouble with is how to
negotiate their terms and conditions successfully. The reason is
because if you really do want the job, then there is a fear that you
might be seen as too pushy in making your requests and you may turn
the hiring manager off.

Kirsty's Postcards from Japan : Hanami in Tokyo (New!)
So, here it is - my first column, or "postcard" as such for Daijob.
As I sit here wondering what to scribe, I thought I would start by
introducing myself.
I came to Japan, as my brief bio suggests, first at the age of
fifteen, on a high school exchange. I spent three weeks here in total
during this initial visit and they were amazing. I was struck by the
complete kindness of people, from my host family in Kyoto and again in
Tokyo, where strangers in the street would stop to ask in English if
we knew how to get where we were going.
