Recruitment Process "for Clients"


Timing (along with, of course, finding quality talent) is one of the key issues in the recruitment industry. Ambition Consulting has therefore developed a sophisticated recruitment process over the past 7 years with the aim of introducing the best candidates to our clients in the least amount of time.  Our process is as follows:


Meeting with Daijob Consulting

The first stage is for us to meet with your company.  In order for us to source the most talented candidates we will need to understand everything about your firm. Things such as company culture, products and services, business strategies and recruitment needs (including interview process) are key issues we would need to understand before we can represent your company.
Our experience in the market has lead us to understand that working in with your HR department is of course the first step, however, we strongly recommend that your line managers play an active role in the recruiting process, as these are the people on the front line with an understanding of exactly what is needed to help your business grow.
We consider our business to be able to offer strategic market advice, besides just introducing candidates. Our consultants are experts in their specific industries and will be able to provide you with detailed explanations of the present market conditions in your industry as well as offer a realistic time frame for the recruitment process.

Search Methodology and Pre-Screening

Many of our headhunting competitors often place candidates within their client firms whilst headhunting other employees out. Unethical is an understatement for this kind of practice. Ambition Consulting prides itself on our value proposition that we do not head hunt. Headhunting usually implies going into a company, often by nefarious means, and pulling employees from that company. We think this process is invasive and unfriendly. We are able to locate a sufficient number of suitable candidates specifically through the pulling power of our web sites (www.daijob.com and www.workinjapan.com), extremely successful referral network (recruiting through senior executives’ networks), email newsletters that reach over 160,000 people weekly as well as tap in to our sister companies’ networks as well.
We meet with all our candidates face to face and discuss, in depth, their experience, skill sets, career goals and aspirations. Candidates that are located outside of the Tokyo metropolitan area are spoken with in depth over the telephone. Our pre-screening methods allow us to gain deep insight into a potential candidate, which then allows us to match them with your company’s needs, corporate culture and vision.

Interviews

Our role is to locate the best candidates and spark their interest in your company. Our candidates will be fully briefed on your open position, business strategies and vision, company culture and products and services.
We will arrange and coordinate all candidate meetings with your company and our consultants would also be very interested in attending some of these meetings as well. We have found that sometimes we can learn a great deal more about a company and opportunity during a candidate interview.

Feedback and the next steps

Following interviews, we will gather feedback from both the candidate and interviewer. Our job is basically the middle man, and we are here to smooth out any issues or problems that either side has. Occasionally issues come up that either party was not able to address in an interview, so we are here to facilitate that these issues are addressed. We will make sure both parties are fully up to date and informed of the status of the recruiting process.

Offer

As a neutral third party we are here to address sensitive issues such as salary negotiations, start date…etc. On behalf of your company we will present and fully explain the conditions of the offer to the candidate. We ensure that the candidate is fully aware of all responsibilities of the position and will address any issues/problems the candidate has, allowing for a smooth acceptance of the offer. We then offer resignation process advice to the candidate to ensure that he/she is able to start with your company on the agreed date.
