| Job Description |
・Provide Japanese-English and English-Japanese interpretation for internal and external meetings ・Work with the engineering team to translate various internal and external technical documents from Japanese to English and from English to Japanese. ・Ensure that technical and terminology is accurate and consistent throughout. ・Check the quality of the translation by referring to specialized dictionaries and translation tools. *The interpretation to translation ratio is approximately 7:3, but this may change depending on the progress of the project. The majority of work is in the engineering department, but there is also support work for various departments as required, such as HR interviews, all-hands meetings, new hire orientations, and shareholder meetings. Most meetings will be held online, but some meetings (1-2 times a week) will require interpretation in the office. |

Required Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience as an in-house translator/interpreter, 2+ years of experience as a simultaneous interpreter - Experience working as a translator/interpreter alongside an engineer in a technical field - Native level Japanese Skills in using Zoom and Microsoft Office tools Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with engineers in the aerospace industry - Practical knowledge of project management |
